Nexus 9 will kill this :))

I don’t understand fanboys. Why can’t people just weigh the pros and cons
of a specific device? Why do you have to be a mindless drone constantly
announcing that your team is better?
I’m getting the Nexus 9 because it has more features that I want. Dual
front facing speakers, double tap to wake, and Android Lollipop. Maybe next
year iPad will have a tablet that is more enticing to me.

CAN PEOPLE STOP USING THE WORD “GORGEOUS” WHEN REFERENCING APPLE
PRODUCTS… OPEN UP A FUCKING THESAURUS AND BE ORIGINAL YOU STUPID FUCKING
    COCK SMOKING FAGGOTS!!!

    Destroys everything?

Lol hardly any difference between it and the latest android tablets, I
could notice stutter on the IPad Air I used.

It’s just a different echo system.

Android being the more flexible one.

The iPhone 6 doesn’t have the same chip as the iPad Air 2 does.
    iPhone 6 – A8 chip
    iPad Air 2 – A8X chip

“there’s not much to say, because there’s not much of it”
I’ve never seen you guys base the depth of your reviews on the mass of the
    object.
a better line would be ‘there’s not much to say, because its last years
    model just faster’

then there is this gem early on
“it’s like holding a screen, and nothing else”
as the giant bezels are presented clearly in front of you….
I’m not saying most tablets don’t have larger bezels than phones, but i
promise you they wont make this comment on the nexus 9, that clearly has
    less bezel.

being bias isn’t bad, it would just be nice is reviews could be a little
    less love-letter-ish.
its fine to have an opinion, we all do, but don’t pretend like opinions are
    interchangeable with facts.
oh well, at least there are people like MKBHD who can do the fair reviews.
(he doesn’t pretend that his opinions are facts)

You can’t touch the iPad Air 2 because it’s too fast and beates every
thing, it’s geek bench score is 4,500 try and beat that

Apple will always, always push iterative upgrades. That’s part of the way
they make their money. There’ll always be something to want more about each
device being pushed out. You are either unhappy or happy with your current
device, and if you hate it, you’ll find a way to get the latest one.
Reviewers can say Apple needs to push it further all they want, it’ll
always be more of the same. Iterative upgrades.

One thing many people forget is it’s not solely about hardware, one of the
largest anchors holding people to iOS besides homeostasis is app quality.
Developers such as Touchpress, NYPL & Blizzard Entertainment have
incredibly high quality apps that are iPad or iOS exclusive. Android is
great, and so is IOS & Windows, and many people like myself have all three
operating systems within their households, but to bash on another
companies’ products shows a lack of contentment with what you own. Prove
your love of a device or brand by the way you use them, not the characters
you copy and paste from beyond a glass screen.

OMG ! YOU LOOK LIKE AN AMATEUR ! You have to search for a little bit of
sense. If you think that Apple should reveal all their ideas and future
projects in one year like this ! then i assure you that you have problems
man !( By the way it is called marketing )
P.S: if you check statistics you can notice that iPad beats up the other
guys as usual and that’s not a coincidence.(#1 in costumer satisfaction)

iPad Air 2 has a triple core 1.5 ghz processor with 2GB ram and it destroys
    everything out there

Introducing the iPad Air 2. Basically the same thing but.. slimmer?

  • Dave Dean 2 years ago

“There’s not very much to say about the iPad Air 2”, but what can be said
still takes twice as long as the review for the Nexus 9.

  • Dan Galman 2 years ago

This is actually an unbiased review, don’t know why people keep on saying
that they’re so biased and stuff.

  • PesterWeaver 2 years ago

Ok so I’ve seen both sides of this but I want to be completely sure. Does
the ipad air 2 have 2 or 1 gigabyte of ram? If it has 1 gig I’m going with
a nexus 9 but if not then I might get it.

Honestly, the verge should disable comments. Pretty much the same people
arguing over every video they make, not even making intelligent or logical
    conversation

i’ve never had a tablet, and i really want to get an ipad air, but im
stuggling between the ipad air and the ipad air 2. Could someone please
    please help me?

Apple is such a overvalued company. When a new iPhone gets released Apple
employees: PREPARE FOR THE ISHEEP QUICK GRAB THE IPHONE GUNS!!!!

  • Duncan 2 years ago

Anymore positive and u will call him an iSheep or apple fanboy right?

  • Mathias Skolander 2 years ago

The comments make me flinch.. All these apple fanboys.

Look, I get it. you like the tablet. But trashing Nexus 9 doesn’t do
anything but feed your ego. Both are nice tablets, but the Air is not
“better” than the Nexus in all ways imaginable.

  • jayr122001 2 years ago

i like the ipad air 2 but i already have ipad air so its not worth it

  • Agerr Gerra 2 years ago

A lot of people say it is only thinner and has a better camera, but some
more tech oriented people are talking about the 2gb ram and 3 cores being a
big upgrade over the previous Air. I’m surprised they didn’t talk about
    that in this review.

Not a single mention of the horrendous sound vibration issues? Take Apple’s
dick outa your mouth, Verge, and stop rubberstamping positive reviews
    written for you by Apple.

    “We are not being paid”
    “We are not being paid”
    “We are not being paid”

I applaud u The Verge for being at least a bit more honest and objective
    with this review.

  • Kirkland Tran 2 years ago

    Stop thinking that every reviewer is supporting apple;

If you actually listened, he listed many negatives including :
    No improvement in software
    no multiuser
    other stuff
    “so much stuff undone”

    They are being very realistic

I’ve had an iPad 2 since mid 2011, is it worth the upgrade, and what do I
do with my old iPad if I upgrade?
