@evilbobbins Thanks for the very swift reply, much appreciated. I plan to
have the ADW launcher on the device when I grab one. So thanks for the
info. I am sure I will work it out! just need the tab now !

@1087hanhan The camera is not working and a few other niggles but vegacomb
1.7 fixes a few more of them. so its pretty close to being a fully working
    honeycomb tablet now 🙂

@tecboy789 Hi, you can either flash another rom or flash the stock rom toy
return it to how it was out of the box

I just get “adb is not recognized as internal or external command on
windows” when in the CMD promp?

  • evilbobbins 2 years ago

You would need to get it in to clockwork mod or you wont be able to restore
    it

Good tutorial Whats the best Rom out at the moment for the Advent Vega. The
reason i ask is because my Vega is freezing up quitr alot and lagging with
    certain things. Cheers

@Corneel oh no 🙁 try doing an nvflash and reflashing the rom

is there a lower chance of bricking the tablet if u use the non pc tutorial
cuz i have no idea how u got the adb command prompt line and window open

  • evilbobbins 2 years ago

Finally a Tutorial that caters to those of us who have no idea what we’re
doing. I spent ages downloading and tryin’ to do stuff with the Android SDK
and figuring out what the ADB thing was. Oh! man what a a palaver. Thank
    God for you sir!

Nice vid! Why is the phone button back on the home screen with the rom
after Advent removed it on the stock rom? Is there a way to not have that
    with the rom?

  • evilbobbins 2 years ago

all you need to do is press start then find command prompt 🙂

  • evilbobbins 2 years ago

@jmpfan Hi Ian, will need to download the 2 options under download, I.E.
Recovery image and flash utility & Reboot utility APK then you should be
    good to go 🙂

@TheAdam2d Hi, Did you install the drivers? if not it will not see the vega
    🙁

  • TheAdam2d 2 years ago

@evilbobbins not sure, I think I did because it recognized it when I
returned it to stock using your method…

  • evilbobbins 2 years ago

@TheAdam2d make sure adb is enabled and try reinstalling the drivers as it
seems it may not be seeing it correctly

@evilbobbins Just realised I made that comment in the wrong video. Deosn’t
matter though the vid I should have thanked was made by you anyway.

How can restore my Vega without connecting to the computer. I cant get it
to start and it wont connet to the computer.

  • evilbobbins 2 years ago

@SoundsandImages Thanks 🙂 The phone button is down to the awd launcher
this rom uses, you can change it to another function but by default its the
    phone button 🙂
